Who Am I?

Who am I? I am a member of society. I have various disabilities that many people know about. I suffer from chronic pain that can, at times, be debilitating. I am not the most stable person mentally. I battle with depression, triggers, flashbacks, mania, lack of attention span, and other things that make each day interesting. What does that have to do with me? These are parts of me, but outside of my struggles and disabilities who am I? I am a unique individual. I am caring, compassionate, understanding. I have the ability to connect with people on a different level than most. I value friendships and relationships. I value people as a whole. Who am I? I am creative. I am respectful, and deserving of respect. I am a fighter. Who am I outside of physical attributes? I am many things, too many perhaps to name on paper. I am someone worthy of progress, inclusion, chances. I am someone who deserves to be understood, loved, helped, and congratulated. I am like you. I am human. I am different from you also. I am me. Stereotypes do not make me who I am, nor does television, newspapers, or even you. I make me. This is who I am. One day I will be different. Then again, I may not ever change. What you see is not a product of difference, but an example of difference. Who am I? I am like you. I am human. I am me. I am Jacoby James.
