Why after so many hard years
must I continuously be punished?

I know that many people sacrafice
different things for their love,
but why is that I must be condemned
for being true to myself?

Why does she have to continously be ridiculed,
for taking heart in a forgotten soul?
Why should she be punished for who I am?

All I want is to be who I know I can be,
is this really so hard to ask?

When all the world crumbles,
we'll all be ashes anyway.

There will be no gender,
no race,
no politics,
no orientation,
no religion,
there will be nothing.

We will all lie in the ground
becoming one again with mother earth,
hoping that our father will allow us to return
wherever it is that we wish to go.

Happiness is a right, one that cannot be taken away,
it is something that everyone aims for and many succeed at.

Why is that you get the chance to be happy after repeatedly harming others?
Why is that YOU get what you want, not what you deserve, yet
I get neither?

In a society all about equality, it is YOU that protests your dislikes,
without stopping for ONE SECOND to think about the humans you're trying to steal from.
What is wrong with you, that you cannot live and let live,
and instead of taking charge of others lives
stop for a moment to cherish yours and let it be.

Harm none and do what you will,
I recite these words until my dying day
and may you learn that peace is accomplishable
